Heroine became a divisive release within the metal community, not because it failed, but because it dared to shed skin. Thornhill stripped away their progressive metalcore roots and leaned into something lower, sleeker, and more provocative. Detuned guitars, seductive grooves, and an unapologetically modern nu-metal pulse.

Regardless of opinion, Heroine marks Thornhill at their most self-defined. A band choosing identity over expectation. If this record is any indication, they’re only just beginning to fully inhabit this sound. And future releases will breathe even more life into it.
